M&M stand for Maggie and Micaiah! In 2004 after many questions about our homemade slings, a gift to both of us from Micaiah's Mom (Maggie's Mother in law), we set out to make them ourselves. With a sweater drying rack and 10 handmade slings, Micaiah and Maggie set out for their first day at the Nampa Farmers Market in Nampa, Idaho.

By May of 2006, we had sold or given away well over 200 slings. With a weekly in "store" stock of at least 30 slings to choose from we bought a 10x20 ft space at the market that year and included many other crafts, from hooded bath sets,fleece boppys and blankets, tooth fairy pillows, kool aid purses and more. We had a lot of fun that summer.

With now well over 300 slings sold or given away, 2007 saw a lot of changes in our homes and our little business as well. In July of 2007, Micaiah and family packed up and moved to Kansas to help family recovering from the May 4th, Greensburg, Kansas Mega Tornado. Maggie finished the Farmers Market season with the help of her daughters. November of 2007 saw Maggie and family move to Wasilla, Alaska where Maggie's husband had accepted a job as Wasilla First Presbyterian Church's, Youth and Childrens Pastor.

Micaiah is busy these days with 8 children in the home (3 of her own and 5 foster children) under the age of 11 and one due in May, but she still sews slings as well.

Maggie has been selling slings online by herself and continues to run the website, with the help of her husband. She has recently started a babywearing group in Wasilla and is planning their meetings. She also keeps busy with her 5 children and church life, but loves to sew and sling! She has recently immersed herself in self led midwifery learning. With the hopes of someday soon, finding a local midwife to apprentice.
